心温まるメッセージをいただき、心より御礼申し上げます。
あなたがたのメッセージは必ずや災害被災者の方々を元気づけることでしょう。

昨日、和子さんと私は今回の地震と洪水に見舞われた人々に何ができるだろうかと
話し合いました。

みなさまからいただきました心温まる励ましのメッセージを被災地・新潟、豊岡、淡路島の人々のもとへ郵便でもしくは直接手渡しするかで、届けたいと思うのです。
あなたがたのメッセージは被災地の人々を元気づけ、心に響くものだからです。
そして、わたしたちＪＥＡＲＮのホームページにもぜひ掲載したいのです。

それから、わたしたちは先生方からだけでなく生徒さんたちからのメッセージもいただけたらと思っています。
子供達からのメッセージは人を元気にするパワーをもっていますからね。
防災世界子供会議のプロジェクトに参加している世界中の生徒や子供達が共に被災地
の人々に心温まるメッセージを届けることができるなんて、すばらしいことではありません
か。

そこで是非ともご協力願いたいのです。
生徒さんや子供達にフォーラム上で新潟・豊岡・淡路島の被災者の方々に絵を添えた
メッセージを書くようおはからい願えますか。
わたしたちはそれらをプリントアウトし、被災地の人々の元へと届けるつもりです。

さらに先生方と生徒さんのメッセージと絵、それに音楽も楽しめるようなホームページを立ち上げてくださったら被災地の人々がリアルタイムで楽しめるものになり、どんなに慰めになることでしょう。
もしそうしてくだされば、わたしたちはもちろんＪＥＡＲＮのホームページからアクセスできるようにしますよ。

どうでしょうか。そちらのご意見をお聞かせください。とにかく急を要する件ですので。

Thank you so much for your warm messages.
Your messages will encourage people who suffered from
Natural Disasters.

Yesterday, Kazuko and I talked about what we can do
for those who suffered from both earthquake and flood.

We would like to send all your warm messages to people in Niigata
and Toyooka and Awaji in Hyogo either by post mail
or bringing them directly,
because your messages are so encouraging and heart-felt.
We would like to introduce your messages on the website, too.

We also want your students messages along with yours, teachers' messages.
Especially messages from children will encourage people.
So it will be wonderful, if our students and children who are now studying
NDYS send their warm messages to the people.

Here I would like to ask you a favor.
Could you ask your students and children to write down messages
to the people in Niigata, Toyooka and Awaji on the forum with pictures?
We will print them out and send them to the people who suffered.

It will be wiser, if you can make a webpage
with your students and your messages
maybe with music and pictures by yourselves .
We can introduce your website to everyone by linking them.

What do you think?
