“
Everybody’s Love” to cover the whole earth, is needed
for treasuring all people’s lives and preventing
disasters. I joined this project to call for the children in
the world to share this love in NDYS. |

Nao-chan
( anonymous girl’s name in Kobe) is the third grader in a high
school now. She was the second grader in an elementary school in
those days. She joined an event called “ Let’s make Haruka’s
himawari( sunflower) into blossom again.” in the ninth spring
after the quake. Then she heard from her ex-classmate’Haruka’s
family ( Haruka was killed by that quake.) about the story after
the quake and knew the depth of their sadness.

She
remembers the encounter with some families who lost their parents, who
lost their siblings and so on. There are a lot of families who still
cannot get over their past. In those families, Haruka’s family began
to go forward to the future, getting over their pains.
They
have got the power to overcome these burdens and pains. It was because
people around them gave them endless “love”,” compassion”, and
“ gentleness”.
These families could make their sunflower bloom at last. Nao-chan
thought this energy would make another power to overcome the next
disaster.
Nao-chan
hopes that all the 6433 people will make their own sunflower bloom to
the last person.It
will mean all the victims’ souls will be reposed soundly
Even
after 10 years, there are people who cannot get over this disaster.
These people are sometimes hopeless and desperate, feeling they are
alone and helpless.
“
Everybody’s Love” to cover the whole earth, is needed for treasuring
all people’s lives and preventing disasters. I joined this project to
call for the children in the world to share this love in NDYS.
I’d
like to reflect my 10 years as a revolving lantern and talk about our
future.
