ENVIRONMENT DAY ACTIVITIES FROM TURKEY
OUR MESSAGE IS: ‘WE ARE NOT TOO LATE TO SPREAD ENVIRONMENT CONSCIOUSNESS!!!’

ON THE FIRST DAY 4 th June,

On 4th June, with the collaboration of Local Agenda’21 of municipality, Local Minister of Education we arranged an activity in Village called Misi where is next to the river. Many students from different schools took part in this activity. In the village’s amphitheathre students read their messages about environment and after their speechs, they started to collect the garbages near the Creek of Nilüfer and on the streets.

Students sang their songs for the importance of the day. And then our major had a speech about ‘Unfortunately we are too late to spread environment conscious to the people. Pollutions are increasing day by day. We should react this pollution all together.And that’s because,

OUR PHOTO EXHIBITION ABOUT NDYS TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO 2008

ON THE SECOND, THIRD AND FOURTH DAY 5-6 AND 7 th June,

After we returned from TnT, we started to prepare especially our photos about what we did in there. To share the things we did in TnT, we opened an exhibition in our shopping center

Fırst day we read a press explanation to all the press members and to the people. Then with the universality of the music, our friends sang songs, play guitar and play violin. İn order, they read messages about how to avoid global warming.

Lastly, our school founder and our education major opened our exhibition by cutting the ribbon.

We prepared a swab for the people who are visiting our exhibition. We encouraged them to write their messages about global warming on to this swab.

WHAT WE DID?

We read the declaration with 5 languages as Turkish, Japaneese, English, Spanish and Russian in front of our swab poster. Then our friends presented a dance called ‘Last Ball’ and little students did Spanish Dance.

WHAT WE ANNOUNCED:

SERAP: 14 students from Tunçsiper High School, attended Natural Disaster Youth Summit in Tnt Tobago under a subject

After 3 days of our exhibition we created a poster with it and on the last day we shared it with the visitors and press.

ENVIRONMENT DAY CLOSING PROGRAM on MONDAY, 7 th JUNE

‘GLOBAL WARMING’. By the attendance of 10 countries 250 people, we represented our country on this summit. We will share the declaration with you on 5 languages Turkish, Japaneese, English, Spanish and Russian

Let’s repeat our Turkish declaration after our friend.

　　SERAP: With the universality of the music now we
are sending messages to all people about STOP
GLOBAL WARMING. During the exhibition day,
in front of the swab poster which you have written
your messages about global warming , we are now
watching the LAST BALL, in the memory of
Atatürk, the founder of Turkish Republic.

　 SERAP: With the universality of the dance
our Primary School students will present
their spanish dance.

　 Let’s watch: LAST BALL IN BURSA , which was
also presented in Trinidad and Tobago.

   SERAP: We remind our slogan; ‘SAVE A DROP OF
WATER AND SAVE OUR LIVES’ again in the
Environment Day with musics and songs.
Our photo exhibition is continuing in front of the
information desk.    Thank you ..　

Comments: I just can say “marvelous”. I t is really good to know there are such an interested group of people who dedicated all their time and abilities to this events.

I believe those children learned a lot about how to work as a team. I personally think that this kind of meetings and conferences should be a good example to others, just to follow them and communicate their messages and then build a world link for the environment.
