The
Natural Disasters Youth Summit of Port of Spain 2008 declares;
“That
as a Global Village we must resolve to create awareness to
disaster risk management and the adaptation to global climate
change, by forging strong ties between youths and professionals
and integrating all countries in an international partnership
for this common purpose:
One
Village, One Effort ,THE TIME TO ACT IS NOW!"
Delegates
recited the declaration in English, Japanese, Spanish,
Surinamese, Turkish at the Summit.

「グローバルビレッジの住民として、私たちは、青年と専門家の間のつよい絆を更に強化し、すべての国・地域を共通の目的をもった国際的なつながりの中に結びつけることによって、災害のリスク管理への意識を高め、グローバルな気候変動に適応しなければなりません。

このNDYS2008宣言文は、2008年4月28日に、第4回「防災世界子ども会議2008
inトリニダード・トバゴ」で、参加の子どもたちが、それぞれの母国語で宣誓し、ポートオブスペイン市長により公式に調印されました。
